The Abbey England Foundry was founded in 1832 as Stanley Brothers in Walsall as an equestrian lorinery foundry producing horse bits and metal work for harnesses. Since becoming part of Abbey England in 2009 the foundry has seen new and crucial investment in equipment and labour and now has the capability to work in aluminium, aluminium bronze and pewter; in addition to the more commonly-made brass and nickel silver products that were traditionally cast. These new ranges that the foundry can now facilitate have allowed the foundry to expand its markets from, our traditional equestrian trade into fashion, door furniture and commemorative brass work.
